“Learn to Let Go” By: Erickson
The television exudes it. My mentor states it. The world envelops.
I have to be okay, unclenching my fist
When my body sits molded in the shape of a cliff.
The air up here is silver thin,
Fine as if served on a platter.
An icy, gentle stream invests in me,
Reaping sweet, full, and round lungs.
Please tell me
You know the meaning
Behind the sky
Beginning and ending
Everyday
With a painting.
The clouds follow it. The sun returns to it. The world envelops.
